This was my second year at the Los Angeles Teen Vogue summit and it just keeps getting better and better! Day 1 of the Teen Vogue Summit was spent in an immersive experience at the Instagram Headquarters- Amazing! But Day 2 is when things really got interesting, starting with a panel of speakers named by @teenvogue as the “21 under 21” of the youngest most inspirational influencers in the US. The speakers ranged from a 12-year-old activist to an 18-year-old African American Olympic ice speed skater, to a philanthropic fashionista, and also included model/actress/activist Cara Delevingne, who is helming a documentary about the girls. I then had 2 breakout sessions where I listened to people from all different backgrounds that were each doing something incredible to create positive change in their communities and the world around them. Some of the inspirational influencers that I had the opportunity to listen to were; @patrickstarrr @evalongoria @mylifeaseva @ed.naaaa @osopepatrisse @thisiszerohour. My personal favorite keynote speaker was the one and only, legendary @serenawilliams who spoke about her day to day life, and how she deals with stress, career pressure, the media and trying to find balance while juggling life as a tennis player and a new mother.
Other than the inspiring entrepreneurial speakers, breakfast and lunch were served by delicious food trucks, and coffee and hot chocolate service was provided by @vspink ! Their pop up bus/shop was one of the fun shopping highlights of the day, Thank you pink bus!
There were so many speakers to learn from, empathize with and be motivated and inspired by at the Teen Vogue Summit. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, recommend it to everyone and anyone who is looking to be inspired or is a bit lost and needs some finding. I not only felt empowered by the famous icons who were there but also by my peers sitting around me and those in my breakout groups. I made so many new friends that have the same philanthropic passion, entrepreneurial drive and enthusiasm as I do, at a time and at an age when finding your tribe is tough to do. So thank you @teenvogue for helping me connect to other impressive influencers, I left the weekend inspired and energized and I can’t wait to go back next year!
